Yuui.nl stops

Hello everyone,

To get straight to the point: this year I will stop selling (mainly) Formula 1 scale models via Yuui’s F1 Scale Models. In this newsletter I would like to explain what this means for you.

Soon it will be 13 years since I started the webshop, driven by my passion for Formula 1 and scale models. I don’t see 13 as an unlucky number — quite the opposite. It has been 13 wonderful years. I have learned a great deal from running this shop, but above all I have met many special people: customers, friends and collectors, with whom I have built many great memories.

I always ran the webshop alongside a (nearly) full-time job. A new phase has now begun in my life, in which I want to make more time for my family. Most of the time freed up by closing the webshop will go towards that.

The shop has always remained financially healthy by consciously growing at a steady pace and accepting small margins. What I will remember most is that I was able to make so many people happy with beautiful models. Any issues with orders were always resolved in good consultation. In a time where dissatisfaction is easily shared online, I am quite proud that there are no negative reviews to be found about Yuui’s F1 Scale Models after all these years.

Although the webshop is closing, my passion for Formula 1 and scale models certainly is not — I will continue to quietly fill the gaps in my private collection.

So what does closing the webshop mean for you?

• Existing orders will of course still be delivered. If manufacturers meet their delivery commitments, everything should be completed this year.
• The return policy remains unchanged: returns are still possible under the existing conditions.
• New model announcements will no longer be shared via newsletters or social media. Pre-orders are therefore no longer possible. For this, I kindly refer you to other (web)shops.
• The existing stock will be sold. If anyone is interested in purchasing the entire inventory, please feel free to contact me — although I honestly expect that the models will mainly be sold individually.
• There will be no fixed discount campaigns in the webshop. However, anyone interested in a model at a slightly lower price is welcome to make an offer by email (please include article number and proposed price). This is possible as of now. Please allow for slightly longer processing times due to the additional workload this announcement may cause.
• Any Loyalty points can still be used as long as the webshop remains online and stock is available. This also applies to personal discount codes or store credits that were issued in the past.
• New stock will only be added in exceptional cases.
• The webshop will remain open until the stock has been sold and all orders have been completed. After that, a closure notice will first appear on the website and social media channels.
• Customer and order data will be deleted properly after the legally required retention periods.

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of Yuui’s F1 Scale Models. Without you, this would not have been possible. Over the years I have heard many beautiful (and sometimes sad) stories from people who picked up their orders in person — from customers in the local area to collectors from other parts of the Netherlands and even from outside Europe.
